Leisure vacation

Image
It's been a while my winter vacation started after the final-year exam on 30th December, 2017. Of course I'm enjoying my vacation for me I'm getting what I love to do—that is sitting whole day doing nothing. I would listen to some podcasts, spend some time on myLot and do nothing other than adding some extra fat to my flesh. I wonder how would people plan enthusiastically to do hundred things during their holidays. Where does the energy come from? Is there any secrets to get it?

Need medicine

Winter started here which means the exam is going to come soon. It is almost like winter is a simile to examination for us. Classes are almost over, only one class to go on Wednesday. The early morning chill has started to let us add one more blanket or an extra layer of clothes to wear. Adding extra layers warms you up and makes you not feeling like getting out of bed. This is the biggest problem. It is warm inside the blanket and cold outside. A big decision to make whether to stay inside the blanket or get up and do some studies. Most of us choose to remain warm rather than getting cold. Who wants to stay up shivering their body? At that time, we forget about the exams. Later only we realise that we have an exam coming up and we have to study. As for me, it is my final year. And the final year is not easy though. I've already seen question papers of previous years and they were tough. I know that I have to focus more. But I am not able to do so. I just feel like lazi...

The Bell

Tring…. Tring…. Tring…. For most people this sounds just like the ringing of any other bell. However for me, the bell speaks a different tune. And it says different things each time it rings. Early in the morning at 5 AM it shouts out, “Hey! You have slept a lot. Now wake up, freshen up and start your day.”

Memory over Breakfast

Final year students offered us sumptuous breakfast as their last offering to us. It was indeed emotional to see them go with whom we had good time and especially someone junior like me got to learn a lot from them. (Offering of breakfast has become custom for all outgoing students that they must do before their final paper.) It is not just breakfast but leaving their love and care for us. Making one final memory with their fellow neighbours before taking big steps of their life. We offer prayers for their future that they will be successful whatever steps they take and wherever they go. May they be the holder of Buddhadharma and spread it far and wide.
